Losing distance and feeling stiffer every season isn't just "getting older" — it's mobility and strength you can train back. CoachZT builds TPI-certified programs for senior golfers that restore rotation, rebuild strength, and keep your swing pain-free, so you keep playing the game you love at the level you want.

Why golfers lose distance with age

Distance comes from how fast you can move the club — and that depends on mobility, stability, and strength. As those decline, so does speed. The good news: all three respond to training at any age. Rebuild the body and the distance comes back with it. See the specific golf exercises for seniors to increase distance.

What senior golf training focuses on

Start with a TPI screen

We begin with a TPI movement screen to see exactly where your body is limited — then your program targets those restrictions. No generic senior routine; a plan built for your body and your game.

In person or online

Train in person in Bloomington-Normal, or follow a custom program online from anywhere with video check-ins. Either way, the plan meets your body where it is.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can senior golfers really regain distance?

Yes. Distance depends on mobility, stability, and strength — all of which respond to training at any age. Rebuilding them restores clubhead speed and distance, which is why senior golfers often see some of the biggest gains.

Is strength training safe for older golfers?

Properly programmed, strength training is one of the safest and most valuable things an older golfer can do — it protects joints, improves balance, and builds the base for speed. Your program starts from a movement screen and is scaled to you.

I have back pain when I swing. Can this help?

Often, yes. A TPI screen helps identify the mobility and stability gaps that drive many golf-related back, hip, and shoulder issues, and training targets them. It is coaching, not medical care — serious or persistent pain should be seen by a physician.

Do I need to be fit to start?

No. Programs meet you where you are and progress from there. The screen sets the starting point.

Can I do this online?

Yes. Senior golfers train remotely with custom programming and video check-ins, or in person in Bloomington-Normal.
